Using the hook with the highly productive, but somewhat forgotten cedar plugs is another great way to rig this short-shanked hook. To improve the hookup rate on your cedar plug lure, place a plastic tube above the hook, to prevent the hook from going too far into the cedar plug. This will reduce the leverage effect and produce more fish in the cooler.
